As a result of an ongoing problem concerning theft from the Booneville Salvation Army Property, recent surveillance resulted in two arrests that lead to the discovery of Methamphetamine and recovery of the stolen property. This has been an ongoing problem. We received the report from a Donor that when they left items being donated to the Salvation, they noticed two individuals attempt to take the items but apparently got spooked and left. When the incident was reported, Officers responded and began watching the area. Shortly thereafter the pair returned and took the aforementioned items. Deputies stopped the couple and recovered the property but during the course of the investigation it was discovered that the pair had Methamphetamine in Possession when the came into the jail. William Edd Rowan 66 of Booneville and Leada Fay Rowan 62 of Booneville were charged with Misdemeanor Petit Larceny and Felony Possession or introduction of a Controlled Substance into a Correctional Facility Their bonds were set at $500 on the Misdemeanor and $7,500 on the Felony each.
