Deputies Make Felon Narcotics Arrests
On Thursday June 27th around 7:30am, Prentiss County Deputies, Dennis Peeks, Brandon Slack and Chief Deputy Derrick Pruitt responded to a Disturbance call on HWY 4 East.  After investigating the incident Deputies arrested Raymond David Entrekin Jr 33 of Booneville.  Deputies discovered Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia  in the residence, along with a handgun that was used in the incident.  Once Entrekin was transported to the jail, jail staff discovered a plastic bag concealed on Entrekin's person.  He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Correctional Facility, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth) Enhanced While in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Family Disturbance.  His bond was set at $75,000.  This case will be presented to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury.  Narcotics Investigator Grady Smith and North Ms Narcotics Unit is handling the Narcotics Case.
 
 
On Tuesday July 2nd Prentiss County Deputies Colby Adams and Gunter Brumley arrested Ronald Dale McVey 49 of Booneville after he was stopped for a equipment violation.  The traffic stop led to the discovery of a plastic bag in McVey's pants pocket which contained Methamphetamine.  McVey was charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substance (Meth) along with several misdemeanor violations, Driving while license suspended, Improper turn, No Insurance and Improper Equipment.  His bond was set at $20,000 on the Felony and $2,500 on the Misdemeanor charges.  Narcotics Investigator Grady Smith and North Mississippi Narcotics is investigating the Narcotics violations and will present the case to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury.
