In the early morning hours of Saturday August 31st, Deputy Gunter Brumley attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle on HWY 4 West near the Tippah County Line.  The driver attempted to flee but soon ran off the road.  The Driver was arrested and charged with numerous misdemeanor violations.  The passenger Sandra Thompson 49 of Jumpertown was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Her bond was set at $5,000 on the felony and $1,000 on the misdemeanor charges.  Narcotics Officer Joey Clark is handling the case along with North Mississippi Narcotics Unit and will present the case to the next Grand Jury
