On the night of August 22nd, 2019 the Prentiss County Sheriff's Department responded to a call in the area of County Road 1214. Which is in the Hare Trailer Park. It was reported that juveniles in the area had been allowed to smoke a controlled substance by an adult male.. The parents of the children charged the suspect which was Benny Wayne Walthers (28) of Booneville with two counts of child abuse. Justice Court Judge Angela Pounds set the bond at $75,000. The case will be presented to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury.
