On Monday Afternoon Prenitss County Deputies attempted to serve a felony arrest warrant that had been issued out of Monroe County on Ryan Patrick Perkins 24 of Belden. Perkins fled into a wooded area on CR 5005 when Deputies tried to apprehend him on the arrest warrant. At some point thereafter Perkins broke into a nearby house and stole Six(6) guns and articles of clothing along with a 2002 GMC Pickup parked at the home. Perkins was apprehended within hours in Marion County Alabama when he attempted to sell the stolen guns.. Marion County Sheriff and Deputies made the arrest. Perkins faces mutliple Felony Charges in Marion County along with Burglary of a Dwelling and two Counts Grand Larceny and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon in Prentiss County. Perkins remains in Marion County Alabama in Custody. Prentiss County Authorities will extradite Perkins at some point to face the Mississippi Charges. The stolen Pickup along with the guns were recovered. Perkins was also under supervision by the Mississippi Department of Corrections and will be held for revocation proceedings pending his return to Mississippi. A Co Defendant in the Monroe County Case was arrested on CR 5005 During the Monday incident and was taken into custody, transported to the Prentiss County Jail and later transfered to Monroe County.
