On 09/01/2014 Tippah County Authorities arrested Gary Brian Lee 43 of 450 CR 8401 Rienzi following a traffic stop the night before (Sunday 08/31/2014) which resulted in a High Speed Chase, after Prentiss County Deputies discovered Lee in possession of a controlled substance. The pursuit started after Lee was stopped on a traffic stop then jumped back into his vehicle, once the controlled substance was found. Lee fled with Officers in pursuit, leading Deputies into Alcorn County where he abandoned his vehicle and fled into the woods on foot. Officers from Prentiss County, Alcorn County and Mississippi Highway Patrol aided in the search for Lee along with local search team and canine track dog. The following day Lee was found walking and arrested by Tippah County Authorities and transported back to Prentiss County to face charges. He was charged with Felony Fleeing and a multitude of misdemeanor charges. His bond was set at $15,000 on the Felony charge and $5,500 on the Misdemeanor Charges. Lee was already out on felony bonds in both Prentiss and Alcorn Counties but hasn't been indicted yet on those previous charges.
