At 5:10PM on Weds. 01/14/2015 we received a 911 call reporting a shooting at 875 HWY 4 East of Booneville in the New Site Community. Within five minutes (5:15PM) Two Deputies arrived and found John Ed Inman 54 sitting in an idling automobile in the driveway. After securing Inman, Deputies entered the house and discovered the female victim, Letha C. Pace 85 suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Coroner Greg Sparks pronounced her deceased at the scene. Both the Victim and Suspect lived at the address. Their relationship was Mother and Son. No motive has been determined at this time and formal charges have not been filed yet. The weapon was recovered at the scene. Investigators are still putting all the pieces together to determine the circumstances of the shooting. Inman has been charged with First Degree Murder and will have an initial appearance to set bond some time tomorrow.
