05/30/2016 Traffic Stop on Natchez Trace leads to Drug Arrest
On May 20, 2016 Prentiss County Department stopped Jeffery Braley 46 of Belmont for reckless driving on the Natchez Trace. Deputy Mink would smell what he believed to be marijuana coming from the vehicle. Jeffery was arrested for reckless driving, possession of controlled substance. Deputy Mink found 4 different types of pills inside the vehicle. After further investigation it was discovered that Jeffery had been selling those pills and was charged with Possession of controlled substance, hydrocodone, xanax .5mg and 1mg, and suboxone with intent to sale. Jeffery's Circuit bond was set at $20,000 and Justice Bond was set at $3000. Jeffery is currenlty out on bond. Agents seized a 2014 Dodge Challenger and $123 is US Currency.
