On Weds. 10/12/2016 Shatara McGee 28 of Farmington was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Crack Cocaine). The arrest stemmed from an incident that occured back on 07/14/2016 after McGee had been booked into the Prentiss County Jail on 07/13 for unrelated charges. The Female Corrections Officer on duty was in the process of transfering McGee from a holding cell to General Population and discovered that McGee was attempting to hide something from her. When the Officer retrieved the item, she discovered that McGee was hiding a Controlled Substance (Crack Cocaine). McGee was Charged with Possession of Controlled Substance (Crack Cocaine). Her bond was set at $7,500. McGee remains in custody at this time. The Corrections Officers in both these cases did an outstanding job, by thoroughly searching these inmates
