
During the early morning hours of Sat 12/3 Deputies Taylor Walker, Doug Rakestraw and Wesley Graves were conducting a Roadside Safety Checkpoint at the intersection of CR 8160 and CR 8200. While checking one of the vehicles, the Deputies realized that two of the four occupants had outstanding warrants. They pair were transported to the Prentiss County Jail and were warned that if they had any controlled substances on their persons and take it into the jail that they will be charged with introduction of Controlled Substance/Contraband in to a Correctional Facility. Both denied having anything. After arriving at the jail and during the booking process one of the individuals, Haley Nichole Patten 28 of Booneville was discovered to be concealing Marijuana that she had on her person. She was charged with Possession/Introduction of a Controlled Substance into a Correctional Facility along with the existing Warrant for Petit Larceny. Her bond was set at $5,000 on the Felony and $500 on the Misdemeanor. She was released on bond on the 9th.
