On Thursday 01/12/2017 Prentiss County Narcotics Investigators, North Ms Narcotics and Prentiss County Deputies were attempting to arrest an individual subsequent to a Narcotics Investigation inwhich he was indicted as a result of the Investigation. Russell Lee Hyde 32 of 199 CR 5051 Booneville was arrested at his home after he was found hiding in the attic. He had been indicted for Possession of Controlled Substance (Meth) and had failed to appear in court. During the search for Hyde Officers discovered another person hiding in the carport whom they identified as Ronnie Lee Jones 38 of Booneville. It was determined that Jones was wanted by the Mississippi Department of Corrections for Probation/Parole Violations. The men were also charged with Resisting Arrest. Both remain in the Prentiss County. Both men remain in custody. Narcotics Investigators Joey Clark and Grady Smith were were handling the case.
