03/20/2017 Roadside Safety Checkpoint Results in Narcotics Arrest
On Sunday night 03/19/2017 just prior to midnight Deputies and Police Officers manning a Roadside Safety Checkpoint at the intersection of South Second Street and Cedar Street, arrested Charles Thompson Jr 22 of CR 3020 Booneville and charged him with several misdemeanor traffic offenses including No Drivers License, No Insurance and Improper Equipment. Once arrested Deputy Wesley Graves discovered that Thompson was in possession of Methamphetamine and once he was transported to the jail and searched more thoroughly it was discovered that he was possession of more Meth. Thompson was charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) in a Correctional Facility. He is awaiting an initial before a Justice Court Judge
