


On Thursday April 19th Prentiss County Investigator Torie Jumper and Sheriff Tolar recovered a 5 by 10 trailer that had been reported stolen from Alcorn County earlier this year. Friday April 20th Sheriff Tolar received information concerning a Stolen Motorcycle. Investigator Torie Jumper went to the location and recovered the Motorcycle and determined that it was stolen from Tishomingo County. The later part of last week in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture Investigator Keith Settlemires we identified and recovered a Lowboy trailer and Hay Tedder that had been stolen from Franklin County Alabama earlier this year. The owners were notified of the recovery and the property was returned to them. These recoveries are a part of an on going theft ring investigation involving multiple local agencies (Prentiss, Alcorn, Tishomingo), State (Agriculture Commission) and other State's Law Enforcement agencies (Franklin County Alabama) Chief Deputy Derrick Pruitt and Narcotics Investigator Grady Smith assisted Agriculture Commission investigator Keith Settlemires in the identification and recovery of the Lowboy Trailer and the Hay Tedder. Case Agent Wesley Graves is the Case Agent who is being assisted by Narcotics Investigator Joey Clark. An NICB (National Insurance Crime Bureau) Investigator examined the Lowboy Trailer and assisted in the identification. " It appears we are just scratching the surface and leads are developing daily."
