A coordinated effort between several law enforcement agencies led to the execution of a search warrant and a Corinth man being charged with drug trafficking, possession of stolen property and other charges, according to Alcorn County Sheriff Ben Caldwell.
Jeffery Wade Lindsey, 49, 14 County Road 513, was also charged with possession of firearm by convicted felon and possession of controlled substance.
Authorities from the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Office, the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Office and the Corinth Police Department executed a search warrant on Lindsey’s residence Thursday after receiving information about possible drug transactions and use at the residence, a news release said.
Lindsey was allegedly found in possession of approximately 6.5 ounces of methamphetamine, seven hydrocodone pills, four firearms, several pipes typically used for smoking meth and a large sum of money.
Investigators also had information that Lindsey was allegedly in possession of several items from a Prentiss County burglary, the release added.
Lindsey was also wanted by the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Office for a prior charge of possession of controlled substance. He was arrested and transported to Alcorn County Jail where he was charged with the alleged crimes.
