
Sean Michael Jones, 35 of Booneville was arrestted on May 21, 2018 by Investigators with Mississippi Attorney General's Office, FBI Child Exploitation Task Force, and Prentiss County Sheriff's Department.
Jones was charged with 3 counts of exploitation of a child-possession of child pornography on his cellular phone, optical disc, and computer. He was transported to the Prentiss County Jail pending an initial appearance in Prentiss County Justice Court. Fines are $100,000 to $1 million and sentences of 10-80 years in prison. The Mississippi Attorney General's Cybercrime Unit and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force assisted with the investigation. "This is an example of great team work between our department and our state and federal partners. "Our department will not tolerate the harming of children and will actively pursue any allegations in an effort to keep our children safe." Said Sheriff Randy Tolar. Prentiss County Sheriff's Department has an Investigator (Brian Taylor) assigned to the FBI-Child Exploitation Task Force and Mississippi Attorney General's Internet Crime Against Children Task Force.
