On Sunday 09/23/2012 Prentiss County Deputies and Investigators arrested two individuals that were involved in multiple buglaries over the weekend in Prentiss County. On Saturday 09/22/2012 a Burglary was reported on County Road 5131 and Sunday 09/23/2012 another Burglary was reported on County Road 5331. The pair are identified as James Reese Montgomery 18 of 2048 Elvis Presley Drive Tupelo and Megan Amelia Dye 21 of 355 More Lane Pontotoc. They are presently charged with two counts of Burglary of a Dwelling and their bonds are set at $10,000 each and they remain in custody. There may be additional charges forthcoming. Investigators have recovered most of the stolen property and are in the process of recovering the remainder. The quick solving of this case can be credited to individuals who witnessed suspicious activity in their community and reported it to authorities along with the victim's information that they provided leading up to the burglaries, along with the diligence of the investigators working the case. Investigators have discovered other items that the pair sold or pawned at a Local Pawn Shop and may be stolen, but we don't have a burglary or theft to match the items.
